Mod Op Announces Several Recent Add-on Acquisitions

Fort Lauderdale – October 24, 2023 – Mod Op, a portfolio company of Alterna Equity Partners (“AEP”), recently announced the acquisition of Crenshaw Communications, a leading public relations firm headquartered in New York City. The acquisition of Crenshaw Communications marks the close of Mod Op’s fourth acquisition this year. Mod Op previously announced the acquisition of Toronto-based full-service creative agency Context Creative in January, the acquisition of CreativeDepartmint in May and the acquisition of dPrism earlier this month.

The acquisition of Crenshaw Communications represents a milestone for Mod Op, as it marks the company's first strategic move into public relations. With its expertise in serving high-growth technology businesses as well as select lifestyle brands, Crenshaw Communications brings a wealth of experience in strategic PR and media relations to the Mod Op portfolio. The combination of Mod Op's digital marketing prowess and Crenshaw's depth of PR expertise will enable Mod Op to offer clients a curated suite of services tailored to meet the challenges of today's business landscape. Clients include Yahoo, Crunchbase, National Cybersecurity Alliance (NCA), DoubleVerify, Ericsson, and more. As part of the transaction, Crenshaw founder Dorothy Crenshaw will join the Mod Op team as Chief Public Relations Officer.

The acquisition of Context Creative was its first international acquisition and now Mod Op’s second international office alongside its office in Panama. Context Creative’s office in downtown Toronto is now Mod Op’s Canadian headquarters, and as part of the transition, Lionel Gadoury, Founder and Principal, Director of Strategy and Creative Services, and Cate Jevons, Principal, Director of Client Services, joined the Mod Op team as Executive Vice President of Strategy & Creative and Executive Vice President of Client Experience, respectively.
